Well, it’s almost the end of the summer, and I’ve done practically nothing with NO DOUBT GET LOUD. Well, I’ll see if I can’t change that in the coming months, and actually make a page out of it or something.

Well, their rates got kicked back again to 3.85%. I’m starting to get sick of that, but with the way the economy is headed I guess it can’t be helped, right?
As for other things unrelated to finance, technology seems to be my niche so far. I enjoy going to class, I’m doing well, and the job opportunities for the major aren’t too bad either. The third quarter of my sophomore year is going well, even though I’ll be 2 credits short of junior status next year. Oh well, nothing I can’t fix, I guess.

So I signed up for FNBO Direct, right? 5.05% APY per year in my account so far.
That is, until today. I got a notice in my email inbox that FNBO is dropping their interest rate to 4.3%.
Wonderful, I could have just gone with any other bank and gotten the same thing. I’m kind of irate now. Oh well, live and learn, I guess.
Well, I opened up a second checking account today, one that I’m planning to link to an electronic banking account yielding about 4.5% interest per year, that I’ll continuously contribute to over time.
I never thought of myself as one with all this business stuff, but when you look at the mess some people have gotten themselves into with debt and not saving properly and all, I personally think it to be a good idea to invest in something safe, whether it be electronic banking (ironic that I call this safe, right?), money markets, or a CD.
In other unrelated news, the new year is in two days, and I’m ready to say good bye to 2007 for sure.
Recently I was promoted to the Site Staff on the Bemanistyle forums– I personally think it’s a good step for me working on the back end of databases and such, not to mention the neat perks and all.
I also found out that for the holidays, instead of gifts, I’m just receiving a large sum of money, and probably spinning the majority of it through money markets and investments and such. I say it’s a lot better than a bunch of gifts I might or might not use.
I’m also looking at adding a few new things to nodoubtgetloud in the near future and possibly looking at messing around with some code too, given that I’m able to learn PHP or something of that nature.
Thankfully, my last day of classes before break is short and sweet, despite the fact that it’s early in the morning. I am really looking forward to heading back home for the holidays– the middle of nowhere gets boring really quickly.
